Privacy notice

Last updated: 24 September 2026

BearOff Studio is a small studio in Greece making personalised backgammon checkers. This notice explains what personal data this website collects and what happens to it.

What I collect

If you send the custom order form, I receive your name, email address and the details you type in (design, size, initials, colours and message). This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies.

To see how many people visit and which pages and buttons they use, the site uses Plausible Analytics, self-hosted on my own server in the EU. It uses no cookies and stores no personal data or IP addresses: visits are only counted in aggregate.

Why

Only to reply to your request and, if you go ahead, to make your order (legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). I never sell your data or use it for marketing without asking.

Where it's stored and for how long

Form messages are stored on this website's server in the EU and forwarded to my email inbox. I delete requests that don't become orders after 12 months. Orders placed on Etsy are also covered by Etsy's privacy policy.

Etsy connection

BearOff Studio uses the Etsy API only to create and manage listings for its own Etsy shop. The connection doesn't collect, store or share any information about visitors to this site or about Etsy buyers.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@bearoffstudio.com. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
